The 2008 Black & Red gala raised over $420,000 for the Simulation Center
Hartford Hospital staged its 17th annual Black & Red at The Bushnell on Saturday, January 12, 2008. The black-tie event attracted over 800 guests for fine dining and entertainment by “The Fab Four”, a highly acclaimed Beatles tribute band.
The funds raised from this year’s Black & Red benefitted Hartford Hospital’s Simulation Center, the only center of its kind in Connecticut, which is designed to promote excellence in clinical care, advance patient safety and improve multidisciplinary team performance through hands-on, high-fidelity medical simulation.
This state-of-the-art teaching environment is the centerpiece of the Hospital’s quest to revamp the educational system and step into the future of how medical education will be delivered during the 21st century.
