Nicholas' Cross-Country Cycle for Cancer

Nicholas Caminiti is a 15 year old boy from Farmington. He is presently a Sophomore at Farmington High School.  Nicholas is training for a huge endeavor that he will participate in over the summer.

 

On June 27th, he will be departing from South Carolina and riding his bicycle across the United States with a group called Apogee Adventures.  This journey will end in San Diego on August 8th.

 

The main reason for his quest is to raise funds for Hartford Hospital’s Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center – Avon. He will be riding in honor of Allyson Caputo, a young woman who is battling ovarian cancer.  Aly describes herself as not only a cancer survivor but a cancer “thriver”.  It is her wish to build a garden at the Avon Cancer Center.  This will allow patients to sit outside in a peaceful environment while receiving their cancer treatment.

 

This ride will be a true adventure & physical challenge and will allow Nicholas to achieve new heights while riding for a worthy cause.
