Hartford Hospital offers five pharmacy residency positions (for 2012-13)
Hartford Hospital has four PGY-1 residents and one PGY-2 resident in
infectious disease.
The PGY-1 position provides opportunities for
residents to enhance their abilities to provide effective pharmaceutical
care in a wide variety of settings. Residents develop competencies in
acute patient care, primary care and practice management. The residents
participate in the design of their residency plans, which reflect their
interests and previous educational and professional experiences.
The PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Practice Residency is a PGY II experience with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship; however there is ample opportunity to work along side infectious diseases, transplant, and critical care physicians.
