The mission of The Stroke Center at Hartford Hospital is to reduce the death and disability that occurs as a result of stroke by:
  • Raising awareness among area providers and community residents so that effective treatment can be delivered promptly
  • The delivery of stroke therapy by a coordinated team with special training and emphasis in the latest stroke therapies

The Acute Stroke Interventional Program is an emergency treatment involving catheter delivered medication and devices, such as the MERCI system. (more)
