Patients may be admitted to either the neuro-critical care unit, step-down unit or neurosurgical floor. All units have a team of social workers and nurse clinical care coordinators to care for patients and assist patient families.

  • Neurosciences / Neuro-Vascular Critical Care Unit

    Our Neurosciences/Neuro-Vascular Critical Care Unit is located on the 9th floor of the North Building at Hartford Hospital. This is an 18 bed ICU staffed by neurointensivists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents, certified neuro-critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, nurse case coordinators, social workers, as well as other various support staff. Patients receive exceptional care utilizing the most modern neuro monitoring techniques.

  • Neuroscience

    The Neuroscience Unit is a dedicated neuroscience unit located on the 9th floor of the North Wing (9th Floor) located on the same floor as the Neurosciences ICU.
