Hartford Hospital provides surgical care for the most complex procedures such as anterior/ posterior combined procedures, and also cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease and retinal issues and diseases.

The Department of Ophthalmology is comprised of more than thirty ophthalmologists, all of whom maintain private practice offices and offer a full range of ophthalmologic services.

Surgery is performed at the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Hartford Hospital and at the Eye Surgery Center in Newington. Both locations have the latest state-of-the-art ophthalmology surgical equipment for all types of general and sub-specialty surgery.
